Flowers explores the symbolic language of flowers within Chinese culture through light painting and photographic portraiture.

Using long exposure, flowers appear as traces of light: present yet fleeting, suspended between image and gesture. The work draws on the cultural meanings flowers can carry — from beauty and renewal to prosperity, resilience and remembrance — while allowing those symbols to remain open rather than fixed.

By translating floral forms into light, Flowers becomes an exploration of heritage, symbolism and the way cultural meaning can be both inherited and reimagined.
